Reaching out despite fragile stability

Awana clubs in Lebanon reach out to unbelievers

Lebanon is a beautiful country with a very comfortable climate and has a very diverse and rich history.  Currently the estimated population is 50% Muslim and 50% ‘Christian’.  When we lived there (for four years) the Christian and Muslim neighborhoods were clearly defined and the Muslim children were not at all encouraged to interact with Christians.  Despite the unrest in the area and fragile stability of the government, several Awana clubs have continued to meet and reach out to Muslims and nominal Christians.  The Lebanese are largely friendly, caring people, but the majority are in need of God’s salvation through Jesus Christ.  We do appreciate your support that allows us to work in the white fields of the Middle East and N. Africa.
