It is no accident

Worker in Malaysia is encouraged by Awana training

"God is faithful and amazing in His ways.  He ordered our steps in ways that not only exalts His name but encourages us.  I am talking about our need of finding a curriculum and training on presenting biblical truths in an attractive and effective way.

I and our team ministers to chidlren ages 4-18 and adults 19-50 who are only learning now how to read and write.  They are the undocumented Filipinos of Sabah, Malaysia who left their Philippines homes due to abject poverty and armed conflict.

I believe it is no accident that my friend invited us to the Awana Seed Planters Leadership Training.  To us who had been there and doing ministry, it could get quite lonely at times.  In the training, the Lord showed me again His affirmation about the value of teaching children and how precious they are before Him.  That the difficulties and problems we are encountering are nothing new before the Lord.

I am asking the Lord to reach 1,000 children by the end of 2010 and raise up from them leaders.  I would like to thank you, dear friends in the Lord, for allowing God to use you.  The investment that you are placing in Awana is bearing much fruit.  my two teammates were once Awana clubbers but are now missionaries to Sabah, Malaysia reaching children for the Lord.  This training has helped us re-focus and define our ministry over there."
