Clubbers in Haiti after the earthquake
Club resumes in Haiti after earthquake

"Monday and Tuesday we went on our Awana church hunting excursion. We drove into areas, rolled down the window and asked if someone knew of this church or the pastor and that is how we got to each church. God directed our every path, and do you know we found all seven churches in the Port au Prince area? Wow, we were so amazed. The general report is that to our knowledge, no child was killed that attends Awana in any of these seven churches nor was an Awana leader. Praise the Lord. We did discover however, that an Awana commander from a church in Croix des Bouquets died in the earthquake and he leaves behind a very young wife, Naomi, twin children four years old and a three year old. Naomi asked for prayer for her children and herself, and that she would not lose faith and that she can provide for her children. Please be in prayer for the Robinson family. They have no other family and relied totally upon her husband to provide. She does not know how she will be able to provide now that he is gone.

Four of the seven churches are up and running again. Many have suffered significant damage to their church or school and are currently meeting outside under a tarp or tents. Please pray for all the churches to be up and running with services once again and that ultimately the children will be back meeting each week at Awana so they can continue to hear about the message of God’s love for them."
