Obedience and Sacrifice Financially Strapped Couple adopt 2 Awana clubs in Haiti! Our Awana Adopt a Club kick off is in January every year. The date this year fell right after the earthquake in Haiti. I was able to get information from the Awana International FB on Awana missionaries in Haiti and other info.
We shared the need with our clubbers and leaders. We shared what we knew was going on in
Haiti and the fact that Awana was in Haiti. We did not know the seeds
that were planted from that. A young couple was so impacted by it that they gave our club
money to support two additional Adopt a Clubs ( we support two as a club already) so more children around
the world could be reached.
It was a very humbling moving moment because this particular couple is quite strapped financially. They said they felt the Lord told them to give out of their income tax return and were just being obedient. They are an amazing young couple with two small children and serve every where they go. They have asked to remain anonymous so no one in our club knows who it is. God is good and faithful.
