Who We Are
Hi! We're Tommy & Paula Nash. We have been married for 21 years. We have two sons, David & John.
We have been missionaries with Awana since 2001. It has been exciting to see God grow us and the ministry over these years. We are part of the North Carolina Missionary Team along with four other missionaries. Our immediate ministry area is in the Piedmont where there are over 150 churches currently using the Awana ministry to reach children, youth and families so they come to know, love and serve the Lord Jesus Christ.
We are also the North Carolina Lead Missionaries. This involves leading, encouraging and challenging our team of Awana missionaries in coordinating all Awana Ministry in North Carolina in over 700 churches/clubs. Another of our joys as Lead Missionaries has been the opportunity to become involved in Awana Missionary Candidate School where we help train new missionaries.
The Great Need & An Opportunity For You
There are over 1.25 million children in North Carolina between the ages of 4-14, the window of opportunity when children are most receptive to the Gospel of Christ. In order to accomplish our mission of reaching children, youth, and families for Christ, what we need most are Ministry Partners. The impact you can have on kids is immeasurable . . . eternal. Through Awana, you can bless kids with the knowledge and power of Christ, so that they may come to have a personal relationship with Him. It is a gift that will last forever -- a gift they can share with the world.
Ministry Partners join with us in two ways: Prayer & Finances
Pray that God will strengthen us physically & spiritually for the work of the ministry to local churches, leaders, clubbers & parents. Most importantly, Pray that the hearts of people in North Carolina will be receptive to the gospel of Christ as we present it to them and train local church leaders to do the same.
